Get the Valley Buyer Success KitA posting to 14 Wing Greenwood puts you on the Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) clock, so your house hunting, offer dates and closing all have to line up with your posting message and HHT window. A House Hunting Trip is the funded trip that lets a Canadian Armed Forces member and spouse travel to their new posting location to find a home. It's typically five days. I pre-screen homes, book showings back to back and have inspectors and lawyers on standby so you can leave with an accepted offer.
The Integrated Relocation Program, administered through BGRS/SIRVA, reimburses many move-related costs — real estate commission, legal fees, home inspection, appraisal and interim living expenses — within your funding envelopes. Entitlements change, so I confirm what applies to your file before we spend a dollar.
Greenwood, Kingston and Middleton are the three most common choices, all within a short commute of the gate. Greenwood is closest and most convenient, Kingston gives you more house and yard for the money, and Middleton suits families who want a small-town main street. Aylesford and Berwick are good value a little further out.

Do everything that doesn't need your feet on the ground before you fly: written pre-approval with a rate hold, a shortlist you've already reviewed on video, deposit funds ready within 24 hours of acceptance, and an inspector and lawyer of your choice on standby. That's what turns five days into an accepted offer.
Three things: well water flow and potability at an accredited lab, a septic evaluation by a qualified installer, and a WETT inspection on any wood or pellet appliance. Lab turnaround — not the seller — usually sets your condition date, so I book all three the day your offer is accepted.
